| 内容： | A one-piece end plug 120, 124 for use in a three-part ceramic arc tube comprises: a cylindrical head portion 114 of a diameter suitable for insertion into the hollow cylindrical main body portion 122 of the arc tube; and a leg portion 112 formed on the head portion 114 so as to be coaxial therewith and tapering inwardly from the head portion outwards; wherein the whole end-plug is formed of a single ceramic pressing. The end-plug 120, 124 also has a central through bore 109 for receipt of electrodes. The head or transition portion 114 has a circumference such that it may fit into the open end of the main body portion 122, thereby allowing the total length of the assembled discharge chamber, and hence the distance between the ends of the arc forming electrodes, to be maintained within tight dimensional tolerances. |
