| 内容： | A porous body contains within its pores a chemically bonded phosphate ceramic. Chemically bonded phosphate ceramics include materials formed form a reaction between an acid phosphate and a metal oxide. The acid phosphate may comprise one or more of potassium acid phosphate, calcium acid phosphate, ammonium acid phosphate and aluminium acid phosphate. The metal oxide may be one or more of aluminium oxide, calcium oxide, iron oxide, magnesium oxide and zinc oxide. A method for manufacturing the porous body comprises forming the chemically bonded phosphate ceramic in situ in the pores of the porous body. The porous body may comprise carbon, preferably a carbon-carbon composite, a ceramic material or a metal such as steel. The body containing chemically bonded phosphate ceramic within its pores may be used as a friction material, particularly in brake discs, as a heat shield, as engine components, as oven or kiln furniture, as heater components or as light fittings. |
