The fiber is burnt and extinguished simultaneously with debindering by calcinating the obtained bar-shaped formed body and sintered by burning, and the bar-shaped sintered body is cut to be not more than the length of the used fiber to prepare the porous ceramic formed body having straw-shaped fine pores.
