The ceramic package 10 for a light-emitting device is provided with a ceramic substrate 11, a metallized layer 42, a first nickel layer 43, a second nickel layer 44, a reflection metal layer 45, etc. The mounting part 34 of a light-emitting device 21 is set on the inner surface of a cavity 31 in the ceramic substrate 11. The first nickel layer 43 is a nickel-plated layer that substantially does not contain brightener and is formed on the metallized layer 42. The second nickel layer 44 is a nickel-plated layer, containing a brightener and is located nearer to the surface layer than to the first nickel layer 43. The reflection metal layer 45 is located nearer to the surface layer than to the second nickel layer 44, and its surface functions as a light reflection face for reflecting a flux of lights emitted from the light-emitting device 21. !
